ECP declares PPP’s plea against lawmakers’ funds not maintainable ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) petition against the issuance of funds to lawmakers by Prime Minister Imran Khan after declaring it as not maintainable, ARY News reported on Tuesday. A three-member bench headed by Irshad Qaiser heard the petition against the issuance of funds to the National Assembly (NA) lawmakers. After the conclusion of the arguments, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) reserved its verdict earlier in the day regarding the maintainability of a petition challenging the issuance of funds to the lawmakers by the premier. 12-year-old gang-raped by four men in Karachi’s Memon Goth KARACHI: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by four men in Karachi’s Memon Goth who filmed and later her video was posted on social media by the culprits, ARY News reported on Saturday. The rape victim’s father registered a complaint at the local police station under the sections of rape, serious threats to life, ATA and others. The First Information Report (FIR) stated that four men had raped his daughter and filmed a video of their crime. It added that the video of the rape victim was later made viral on social media. Three Karachi patients of UK COVID-19 variant recover health

KARACHI: Three patients who were infected by the new strain of coronavirus in UK have recovered their health, confirmed the Sindh Health Department on Saturday. As per details, the three patients were isolated at a private hospital in Karachi after arrival in Karachi on December 29 from the UK. The relatives of the infected persons were tested negative for the new strain of the virus. On December 29, three UK returnees were confirmed with the new strain of coronavirus by the Sindh Health Department.
